The J5 joined forces recently to thwart tax evasion activities by an international financial institution located in Central America that facilitated the concealment and transfer of wealth around the world.
This first-time action has paid off in achieving the joint goals to quicken investigations and have a significantly larger impact on global tax administration. IRS Criminal Investigation Chief, Don Fort, said, “Tax cheats in the U.S. and abroad should be on notice that their days of non-compliance are over.”
