The IRS is offering a filing extension for federal individual and business tax returns for Californians affected by the recent storms. For taxpayers residing in certain California counties (click here for the complete list), the filing deadline is now May 15, 2023. This extension not only includes the income filing deadline, but also allows taxpayers more time to make any payments due for this period, to file other business returns normally due March 15 and April 18, and to make 2022 contributions to IRAs and health savings accounts!
