Claim Your 2018 Tax Refund before it’s Too Late

Have you filed your 2018 federal tax return? If not, you could be one of the estimated 1.5 million taxpayers who did not file for 2018 and could be owed a tax refund. The IRS released a reminder today stating there is almost $1.5 billion in unclaimed tax refunds due, and the 3-year window to claim your refund is closing this April. By law, taxpayers have 3 years to collect their refunds, however after that 3-year window is up, the funds become property of the U.S. Treasury. Make sure to file your 2018 income tax return by April 18, 2022, or it will be too late!
